Dr. David Hernandez has over 25 years of progressive experience in Plant Nutrition Innovation, New Product Development and Commercial Research globally, specializing in emergent technologies, and global expansion of Plant Nutrition. In the last 25 years, David has occupied Academic positions as a Scientist and Assistant professor in Permaculture at Southern Illinois University. Also, he worked on both growth and start-up private organizations. Most recently with Actagro (recent acquired by Nutrien), he was the Global Director Research and Development and Agronomic services for plant nutrition and specialty technologies. David had leadership roles in the Plant Nutrition and Biostimulant Industry with relevance at Compass Minerals International, Arysta LifeScience (today UPL), Pepsi Corporation, Intrepid Potash, Georgia Pacific Resins, etc. David was recognized with an Excellence Award while working for Pepsi Corporation, and an Innovator Award at Georgia Pacific Corporation. He also was awarded the Pygmalion Award as a young Scientist by the World Bank. David completed a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy (Crop Production and Soils) from the University Central of Venezuela, and Masters and Doctorate degrees in Agronomy and Soil Fertility and Nutrient Management from Iowa State University.
Diane has more than 25 years of experience in accounting, finance and management.
Prior to joining BiOWiSH, Diane held various positions as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Controller at privately held companies in the Cincinnati area. Her career has included diverse experiences with private equity funding, acquisitions, financial integration and the sale of companies. Diane also spent six years in public accounting at Deloitte.
Diane has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Xavier University and she is a Certified Public Accountant in Ohio.
Jennifer Tulich has more than 20 years of experience developing consumer insights into market differentiated product executions across a variety of consumer categories.
Prior to joining BiOWiSH, Jennifer has held various Innovation Marketing roles at; Procter & Gamble, Diageo North America, Valvoline Consumer Markets, Kao Brands and Jarden Home Brands. Jennifer has experience across a variety of brand lifecycle management and business growth drivers ranging from upstream global consumer understanding to incremental brand platform development.
Jennifer has a degree in nutrition from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Michael Showell provides technical leadership and oversees development of Agri-Business products and Corporate Intellectual Property. Dr. Showell spent nearly 30 years as an Associate Director of R&D at Procter and Gamble.
He is the recipient of the Procter & Gamble Excellence in Innovation Award (1990), the American Oil Chemist Society Outstanding Paper Award (1991 & 1994) and the American Chemical Society Award for Team Innovation (1999).
He has been awarded 23 U.S. patents and authored numerous journal articles and book chapters, including many about fermentation and biocatalysis.
Carrie has 15 years of global submission experience. Before joining BiOWiSH, Carrie worked at INC Research where she managed local and remote medical writing staff responsible for delivering clinical study reports and other regulatory documents.
Carrie also worked at Procter & Gamble for more than 20 years. As a global dossier manager with P&G, she planned and managed the publishing and submission of regulatory dossiers.
Carrie has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Pennsylvania State University.
Bill Diederich has over 13 years of management experience in emerging businesses. Prior to his appointment at BiOWiSH Technologies, Bill was the Chief Operating Officer of a manufacturer of biological products that supplies to agriculture, horticulture, animal feeding operations, industry and municipalities.
He had also worked for 10 years in a supervisory role for Midwest Laboratories, now the largest agricultural testing laboratory in the United States.
He holds a science bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska and has completed the University of Tennessee’s Comprehensive Nutrient Management Program.
Dr. Richard Carpenter has over 30 years of experience in Research and Development (R&D), specializing in the areas of material technology, analytical measurement science and global consumer product development in chemical-based formulation systems.
During his 30 years with P&G, Richard worked on number of assignments across various businesses in North America, South East Asia and China, including Corporate R&D and Fabric Care Product Development. Prior to his retirement from P&G, he was Director of Global Corporate R&D.
While on assignment in China, Richard became the first foreigner to receive the Beijing Capital Medal for Excellence in Technology and Organization Development from the Beijing Government and National Labour Union.
Richard completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Chemistry) from the University of Toledo and a doctorate in Chemistry/Biochemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Rod Vautier has led BiOWiSH Technologies’ global expansion since founding it with Vince Wise in 2007 until 2013. Under his leadership, BiOWiSH Technologies has conducted extensive research and development, expanding the ways our core technology can be used. This has led to the commercialization of BiOWiSH® and the development of applications in environmental management, animal agriculture, agronomy, aquaculture, human health, and consumer products.Before forming BiOWiSH Technologies, Rod was a Founder and Managing Director of The Australian Plasterboard Company which grew rapidly to more than $30 million in turnover within two years against large corporate incumbents. Prior to this, Rod was General Manager of Sales and Marketing at James Hardie.
Rod received his MBA from Sydney University of Technology and also holds
a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia.
Ian Edwards has a wealth of experience in developing and managing a wide range of partnerships, joint ventures and business relationships on a global scale.
He co-founded “Big I” Investments, a Boston based early stage venture capital company. He was also the CEO of TRT-Holdings (formerly known as Twin Rivers Technologies).
Before this role, Ian had a successful career at the Procter and Gamble Company where he spent 36 years on assignments across Europe and North America. His last assignment was Vice President, General Manager of P&G Chemicals, where he grew the business from $450 million to $1.3 billion. He is recognized as a world-renowned expert in the natural ingredients/ bio-fuels and oleo-chemical industries.
Ian completed an honors degree in Chemistry and a year’s postgraduate research at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.
